Lighting Science Group

Ute Besenecker works for Lighting Science Group as director of healthE™ lighting and senior scientist. She holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Master’s Degrees from the Lighting Research Center, Columbia University, and the Leibnitz Universität Hannover. Her background spans lighting and human factors research as well as design practice in lighting and architecture. Dr. Besenecker’s main interests are the impact of light on health and perception and interdisciplinary design collaborations.
